Lukasz McCue

All the way through School, College and University I was fit and active. I played rugby, football, swam and ran. I started my working career, and as it developed and progressed, health and fitness became less and less of a priority. Then marriage and a family came along, and my health and fitness started to really take a back seat.

I was leading a sedentary lifestyle which consisted of either sitting at my desk, in a client meeting, driving in the car or sitting on the sofa knackered after a day’s work. I was always tired and lacked energy. Getting up in the mornings was a real effort and the snooze button became my best friend and my worst enemy. Eventually I realised things had to change and I managed to make the shift to get my fitness and nutrition back in check.

I started training again and read and researched the most effective ways of losing fat and building lean muscle. I learnt about nutrition to ensure I was fuelling my body the best way to support building a lean and muscular body.

I’m proud to say that I achieved my goal. I reduced my body fat by 10% and added 10kg of lean muscle mass in my first year. I actually weigh more now but look and feel a 100 times better.

My previous career was in Sales and Marketing, where for over 15 years I helped businesses Brand, Market and Grow.

One day I caught glimpse of a headline stating that unlike our parents who would retire at 60/65 our generation won’t be retiring until we’re in our 70’s. It made me realise that I had more working years ahead of me than behind, and if that was the case, I wanted to make sure that they were going to be spent doing something I loved and was passionate about.

“Find a job you love, and you’ll never do a day’s work in your life”

Apart from my family, the other main passion in my life is health and fitness. I decided to make the change. I qualified as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor so that I could have a more rewarding and fulfilling career helping people and making a positive impact on their life.
